Personal Lines Processor

Prairie du Sac, WI

This role is responsible for providing processing and documentation assistance to the Personal Lines customer service team. This person will work closely with the Customer Service Staff on a daily basis to make sure information is processed efficiently and accurately.  Some responsibilities include checking cancellations, lapses in payment, claims reporting and policy changes on company web sites.  The personal lines processor will also split their time between their own desk and the reception desk when the receptionist takes breaks or needs time away from the office.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the customer service team in their processing and documentation needs and other related projects
  • Examine all documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Identify and communicate inaccuracies to individual customer service agents as needed, escalating trends and issues to department managers
  • Process data such as:
    • Requests for ID cards
    • Mortgagee requests
    • Towing and glass claims
    • Cancellation requests
    • Policy Lapses
    • Policy Changes
  • Reviewing daily communication log for information downloaded
  • Process all of the front-end scanning for the department
  • Special projects associated with email communications to customers
  • First line backup to receptionist
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an insurance policy processing function in the insurance industry is preferred but not required
  • Ability to obtain Property & Casualty Insurance license in the future to allow for advancement
  • Ability to solve problems effectively and apply critical thinking
  • Detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and be flexible towards priority changes
  • Self-directed and self-motivated
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.

Physical Requirements

This is primarily a sedentary role, however, the job does require the ability to lift files and binders on occasion and bend and stand as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week at our 1420 North Ridge Drive, Prairie du Sac, WI location. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm with a 1 hour lunch break.
